Our Hazardex in the Regions events are returning in 2026 with an expanded programme of four FREE-to-attend, one-day events, reaffirming their position as one of the UK’s most valued meeting points for the process safety and hazardous area community.

Taking place across Scotland, England and Wales, the 2026 series continues the long-standing mission of Hazardex to provide accessible, high-quality technical insight, practical guidance and meaningful networking opportunities for those working in high-hazard industries.

This year’s events are:

Grangemouth, Scotland – 24 June

Ellesmere Port, NW England – 23 September

Great Yarmouth / Norwich North, E England – 21 October

Swansea, Wales – 25 November

Each event follows the popular Hazardex in the Regions format, delivering a carefully curated conference programme alongside a tabletop exhibition – all in a single day and completely free of charge to attend.

The regional events are specifically tailored for professionals responsible for hazardous area management, plant and process operations, and functional and explosion safety across a wide range of industries. From senior engineers and technical specialists to operations and safety managers, the events attract delegates from small independent operators through to large COMAH sites.

The content is particularly relevant to those with responsibilities relating to explosion protection and functional safety, including UKEX / ATEX / IECEx compliance, CompEx competence, and functional safety standards such as IEC 61508 and IEC 61511. However, the programme is equally valuable for any engineer or manager working within high-hazard environments who wishes to broaden their knowledge, keep pace with regulatory change, or better understand emerging risks and technologies.

All were welcome whether entry level or decades of experience!

With its combination of expert insight, regional relevance and a welcoming, professional atmosphere, Hazardex in the Regions 2026 once again promises to be a must-attend series for anyone involved in managing risk and safety in the UK’s high-hazard industries.

All four Hazardex in the Regions 2026 events are completely FREE to attend, but places are limited and pre-registration is required. Full speaker programmes and event details will be announced closer to each date, and readers are encouraged to keep an eye on www.hazardex-event.co.uk for or follow us on LinkedIn for updates.
