Hazardex Live is the original high hazard industry event for process safety professionals concerned with protecting Personnel, Process & Plant. Widely recognised as the most important global event specific to hazardous area operations across all major industries, Hazardex Live brings together the process safety community on an annual basis to review current or forthcoming legislation and stay up-to-date with best practice and the latest research in those areas key to managing process safety effectively. Having started in 2002, Hazardex continues to go from strength to strength and is complemented by our Hazardex in the Regions events that take place across the UK, as well as Hazardex International events that take place in mainland Europe and the Middle East.

The main focus of Hazardex Live is the Conference which includes prominent high hazard industry stakeholders and policy makers addressing the assembled professional audience. Recent events have included quality speakers from the UK Health & Safety Executive, Office for Nuclear Regulation, Chemical Industry Association, IECEx, Wood plc., Chemical Business Association, Fuel Industry UK, Petronas, COMAH Competent Authority, EDF Energy, Environment Agency, Energy Institute, Tank Storage Association, Sellafield, BASF, Total, CompEx, Certification IChemE Safety Centre, British Standards Institute, BP, Brenntag, Lockheed Martin, and many more.

The Exhibition is another important element of the event with leading hazardous area sector companies displaying the latest products and services to visitors. Each event provides exceptional opportunities for networking, with attendees from government agencies, regulators, certification bodies & training providers, consultants and product manufacturers meeting up with senior engineers and safety managers from the high hazard and process industry owner/operators to share their experiences. Every aspect of the Hazardex Live! aims to strengthen and expand the community that looks to the Hazardex website and journal for industry intelligence and information.

The first night of the two-day event plays host to a drinks reception, Gala Dinner, and the prestigious Hazardex Awards. The awards programme has long been a benchmark for those supplying products, services and systems within hazardous areas. A range of companies are nominated each year across several categories with an additional category, the Delegates' Award, voted on by delegates and attendees at Hazardex Live, to identify which of the nominees provides the overall best hazardous area sector product, system or service.
