The Hazardex 2021 International Conference and Exhibition – co-located with PPTex – will be taking place on June 16 and 17 at the Majestic Hotel in the elegant Yorkshire spa town of Harrogate, UK.

Hazardex 2020 was a great success for the industry and one of the best Hazardex events there has ever been. We are thrilled to announce that the renowned Conference and Exhibition will once again be held at the Majestic Hotel – now a Double Tree by Hilton establishment. Feedback from attendees at the 2020 event highlighted the venue’s much improved facilities and accommodation.

Connectivity, a leading Industry 4.0/IoT online information resource, is once again a media partner and the event will be held with the support of several prominent partner organisations including IECEx, Institute of Measurement & Control, NEPIC, Chemical Industries Association, CompEx, HSE, IChemE Safety Centre, UKPIA, and the Chemical Business Association.

The first Hazardex event was held in 2002 and each year we have sought to bring together the finest members of the process safety and hazardous area operations community. The Conference is put together to provide key industry information and topical discussion on process safety-related topics. Each year, delegates and visitors hear from an exceptional lineup of eminent presenters offering insights and expertise from a variety of industries.

As in previous years, Hazardex 2021 will include workshops, free seminar content, a networking dinner and awards ceremony, all aiming to strengthen and expand the community that looks to the Hazardex website and journal for industry intelligence and information.

Another equally important element to this prominent industry event is the free-to-attend exhibition consisting of leading hazardous area sector companies displaying their products and services to the assembled professional audience.

The 2021 event will again provide exceptional opportunities for networking, with attendees from government agencies, regulators, certification bodies & training providers, consultants and product manufacturers meeting up with senior engineers and safety managers from the high hazard and process industry owner/operators to share their experiences.

The informal, very well attended, evening Awards dinner includes a drinks reception and Gala Dinner at the end of the first day, designed to recognise excellence in the hazardous area sector.

Over the last decade, the Hazardex Awards programme has become the benchmark for those supplying products, services and systems within hazardous areas. The winners are all voted for by Hazardex journal and website readers and users. The Delegates' Award is voted for on the day of the event by those in attendance.

An in-depth review of the Hazardex 2020 event will be published in the May issue of Hazardex magazine.
