Formed over a century ago in the city of Leeds, Scattergood & Johnson are renowned in the electrical engineering distribution industry for our high levels of service, support and customer satisfaction.

Scattergood & Johnson Ltd has been established for over 120 years and have been supplying and assembling equipment for the hazardous area industry of over 25 years.  As part of our commitment to our hazardous area customers, we maintain a dedicated external sales force and an internal sales and service team to support all of our customers needs.

Offering both ATEX and IECEx and now UKEx products as well as NEC and CEC equipment from stock, we are confident our expertise and technical support cannot be matched.  In addition, our long-established relationships with many of the world’s leading suppliers of hazardous area equipment ensure we continue to provide new and innovative products certified to the very latest standards.

The Scattergood & Johnson Ltd Ex-Workshop, based at the head office in Leeds, operates under a Quality Assurance Registration (QAR) scheme and is regularly audited by both our assembly partners and a notified body.

We are authorised assemblers of many hazardous area solutions to both Zone 1/21 and Zone 2/22 for ATEX/IECEx and now UKEx hazardous area applications.

The Ex-Workshop operates CNC machinery for precision machined threads and clearance holes in both GRP and Stainless Steel.

Still privately owned, Scattergood & Johnson has expanded with branches now located in Gateshead, Glasgow, Manchester, Sheffield and Walsall but we are proud to still retain our head office on Lowfields Road, Leeds.
