At Hazardex in the Regions: Ellesmere Port on 17 September, Carl Evans, E&I Project Manager at C&P Engineering Services, will be presenting a follow-up to his previous Hazardex Live presentation by exploring the considerations and other key aspects of hazardous area inspections involving 'legacy' equipment.

Carrying out hazardous area inspections of assets in modern facilities can be challenging, even when initial inspection documentation is available. However, inspecting older 'legacy' equipment often presents unique challenges. Familiarity with historical standards can be advantageous, considering the requirements of the standards in effect at the time of installation can be important. Applying modern standards retrospectively to older installations may not always be appropriate. In this presentation, Carl Evans will explore these considerations and other key aspects of hazardous area inspections.
