At Hazardex Live 2026, hazardous area contractor Peter Lee Williams will be exploring the transferability of the electrical industry practice of real-time scoring of departures – but for hazardous area (Ex) inspections.

If so, can this method really add value? A further dimension considers the actual codes to be assigned for different Ex departures… as with the electrical industry equivalent it is anticipated that interpretations will lead to interesting discussions and further work.
