ECFIO Technical Director, Graham Doggett, will be at Hazardex Live 2026 explaining how DSEAR compliance can be designed into hazardous area projects from the very beginning.

He will outline why early risk assessment and hazardous area classification are essential for avoiding redesign, reducing cost, and achieving safer outcomes. Drawing on experience from his observations he will explore the considerations through the project lifecycle covering risk assessment, zoning, consequence evaluation, basis of safety, and implementation.

About the speaker:

Graham Doggett, Hazardous Area Consultant, has 17 years of experience in hazardous areas with previous roles as a Maintenance Technician, Lead EICA, Operations Manager, and ATEX/DSEAR Technical Lead. His responsibilities include design of IS and non-IS electrical systems, QA/QC, verification to DSEAR reg 7(4), hazardous area classification, and inspection management.
