c. Hawke International – PSG/553/RAC and SB/474 cable glands

Hawke International’s new PSG/553/RAC and SB/474 cable gland have been re-developed to increase the ease and speed of installation. The dual-certified Ex e/Ex d cable glands offer an instant silicone barrier seal around the individual conductors of a cable. Removing the need for compound or resin to achieve the Ex d barrier seal means zero curing time and the removal of any shipping restrictions. Suitable for use in Zone 1, Zone 21, Zone 2, and Zone 22 hazardous area applications.

d. Mobile – IS-SW1.1 explosion-protected industrial smartwatch

The IS-SW1.1 is an explosion-protected industrial smartwatch for ATEX/IECEx Zones 1/21. It complements the MOBILE overall portfolio and can be used in a highly flexible way for employee safety and organisation in the company. Coupled via Bluetooth with MOBILE devices, it functions as a supplementary hands-free display on the wrist for displaying important notifications, hazard messages and measured values. The IS-SW1.1 enables vital signs to be monitored, an emergency call to be made with GPS location and can emulate RFID smart cards for convenient access control.

e. Saipex – "Ex-perience" web platform for managing IECEx compliance

Life-cycle management of electrical systems in explosive atmospheres has several critical phases. An error in any of these above stages can defeat the explosion protection of an entire plant. There are also several business functions involved for which specific expertise is required. One of the main issues is to integrate the different phases of a plant's life cycle through the sharing of relevant information at any point in the life cycle among all those involved. "Ex-perience", a web platform that simplifies the management of IECEx compliance along the entire process chain, supports all business functions involved in the different process steps in real-time. : archiving, documentary backup and real-time updating, automated completion of standard forms with alert systems for cases of Ex Equipment rejection, real-time progress for different documentation (check-sheets, Punch List, Ex Register, IECEx & ATEX Certificates, photos and supporting documentation). All this while ensuring the preservation of data and documents and, at the same time, a high level of performance from the point of view of information exchange, reduction of delivery time, reduction of QA/QC costs with obvious quality improvement.
