The nominees for the Technical Innovation Award are:

a. Arnlea – Nexar - Ex inspection software

c. Phoenix Contact – FL SWITCH APL 2224-4A-213-PA - industrial Ethernet switch

Launched at ACHEME 2024 in Frankfurt, the 24-port FL SWITCH APL 2224-4A-213-PA industrial Ethernet switch supports Ethernet-PAL Technology and already has all global approvals including the UKEX Certificate. The device is Zone 2 mountable, with Ex ‘ia’ APL ports, and has four uplink ports. Together with Ethernet APL Project partners, ENDRESS+HAUSER, ABB, KROHNE, and SAMSON. Phoenix Contact also demonstrated the product’s interoperability and massive communication speed advantage over HART (10,000x) and Fieldbus (300x) technologies at the show.
