The nominees for the Contribution to Safety Award are:

a. Blackline Safety – EXO 8 - portable area monitor

b. Excen – ATEX and IECEx industrial forklifts

Excen converts ATEX and IECEx electric and diesel-powered industrial machines: Forklifts, lifting platforms, cranes, earthmoving machines, and any other machines driven by electric or diesel engines that are used in potentially explosive atmospheres. The company also converts, in accordance with national regulations, these machines for use in environments with the presence of explosive materials, e.g. military depots, munitions factories or pyrotechnic materials.

c. Expo Technologies – SmartPurge Z - purge & pressurization system

The SmartPurge Z is a fully certified purge and pressurization system for Zone 2 hazardous area applications. When fitted to a suitable enclosure, the system enables standard uncertified electrical equipment to be operated safely in a hazardous location.
